Implants

The tooth is made up of four different types of tissue: enamel, pulp, dentin, and cementum. The tooth is not a bone, but is hard as a bone. Opps, I did it again! This is me reminding you that you only have one set, which should last you a lifetime. For people who do not take care of their teeth pay a costly price, and I'm not just talking about in money. Implants are extremely expensive, and most can not afford these costly chompers, because majority of dental plans do not consider coverage for implants. Implants are surgically placed where the rotted tooth or teeth once lived. Dental implants can improve appearance, speech, self-esteem, and convenience (Dental Implants) . But why would you want implants, when you have the perfect smile that God gave you already. TAKE CARE OF YOUR TEETH, because I don't want to see you at our college reunion 20 years from now with implants, take car of them chompers of yours.

  1. I like this topic because people never realize how important oral health it. We only get one set of teeth, granted after our baby teeth have fallen out, but people don't take care of them properly. I know many people who do not brush their teeth because they don't think losing their teeth is a possibility. People also don't realize how costly it can get to have to pay to get their teeth fixed or to get implant, as you have mentioned in the blog. Oral health has a lot of misconceptions and I love how you cleared some of this in the blog above. Thank you for posting!

  2. Yes you said it, take care of those teeth now!!! Even though implants are the absolute best treatment for failed or missing teeth, they are VERY costly! Also, if you have let a tooth deteriorate long enough for it to fail, you may have bone loss around the tooth. If there is enough bone loss, even an implant is not an option. It is so important to just do simple hygiene daily so that you don't have to do extreme treatment later! Thanks for the post.

  3. I really like your topic, oral health is very important. I do not believe a lot of people understand the importance of keeping your teeth healthy. I like that you decided to talk about implants, I was just watching these videos on instagram about teeth implants. I did not know that implants were not cover by your health insurance plan. I think implants are good for tooth or teeth replacements, having a nice smile is a win lol.

  4. People don't realize that it is important to take care of your teeth until they see they tooth start to get rotten or until the teeth about to fall out. I like thus topic because I cant stress it enough on how important it is to to keep your teeth clean. I never really heard of implants but after reading this and looking up what implants I think that they are really good to use.

  5. Teeth are definitely one of those things that a lot of people forget to take care of. How could you forget to take care of something you constantly see!? I know some people that have gotten implants and I would 110% would NOT want to pay for those if I can avoid it!

  6. I loved this. You were informative and funny at the same time. I think some people forget how important oral hygiene is and they think that their teeth will be fine! And it was good that you stressed that implants are very expensive! My mother had to get implants because she did not want to be the older woman with braces. I know she wishes she could've gotten braces when she was younger and it could have saved a lot of money! Great job!

  7. Allison, I enjoy reading your posts! You're funny but get your information across. I just had a patient the other day tell me his dentures were 40 years old. I asked them how he kept them so nice and he said the trick was SUPER GLUE! I almost died from laughter and he was serious. I guess when they are that much money you learn to deal with it!

  8. I wish more people understood how crucial it actually is to take care of your teeth at a young age. Parents need to teach their kids the correct way to brush their teeth from the start!
